A Sonic Volcano - Artist Chris Bucklow reviews Nordic Giants

"We had just seen the unleashing a total work of art; powerful new music and visuals; hallucinatory costume and performance. I felt that I might as well pack up now, put down my brushes, with the knowledge that one is working in a lesser medium."

Internationally renowned artist Chris Bucklow visited the Shepton Digi Fest with friends who had come to see Nordic Giants, and was so blown away by the post-rock duo's performance he sent a review to the festival featured here.

Chris, who's work features in major galleries across Europe and the US, described the band's performance as "an experience I will never forget".

"We had just seen the unleashing a total work of art; powerful new music and visuals; hallucinatory costume and performance. I felt that I might as well pack up now, put down my brushes, with the knowledge that one is working in a lesser medium," he said.

Nordic Giants smashed onto the music scene little over a year ago. Influenced by the likes of Sigur Ros, Massive Attack and Cinematic Orchestra, the band have already shared the stage with Ratatat, Mogwai and headlined The World Premiere of ‘The Blot Symphony’, an inspirational visual art piece created by Ralph Steadman.
